This policy settings allows you to manage the Citrix VDA Configuration
- If you enable this policy setting, you can configure several items
- If you disable or do not configure this policy setting, the vda configuration will not performed
Delay Citrix Desktop Service:
The Citrix Desktop Service controls the registration state against the Citrix Controller. In some circumstances, this service has successfully registered the VM and the user can be logged on through Receiver/StoreFront before the machine is ready to accept workloads. For example you may have some dependant actions or solutionssuch as Workspace Environment Agent, Group Policies, App-V Client custom tasks you wish to run before the machine accepts user sessions. If you enable this policy the Citrix Desktop Service will be started only after the BIS-F personalization phase is finished.
Additional delay (default 0)
You can enter additional time in seconds, to start the Citrix Desktop Service after this delay. This time you entered here will be addition to the BIS-F personalization phase finishing.
Max seconds: 1800
Note: If you have configured the environment so that device personalization configuration is skipped on all disk modes or in Private Mode only, the Citrix Desktop Service will be started as per normal windows behaviour.
Enable NVIDIA GRID:
If the NVIDIA Display Driver Service is detected, BIS-F will trigger the right command on the Base Image as follows:
XenDesktop 7.11 or lower:
If you install NVIDIA drivers after you install a VDA with HDX 3D Pro, NVIDIA GRID is disabled. Enable NVIDIA GRID by using the Montereyenable tool provided by NVIDIA.
To disable NVIDIA GRID, run the following command and then restart the VDA: Montereyenable.exe -disable -noreset
XenDesktop 7.12 and higher:
If you install NVIDIA drivers after you install a VDA with HDX 3D Pro, NVIDIA GRID is disabled. Enable NVIDIA GRID by using the NVFBCEnable tool provided by NVIDIA.
To disable NVIDIA GRID, run the following command and then restart the VDA: NVFBCEnable.exe -disable -noreset
Note: If you disable the checkbox, NVIDIA GRID is not disabled from BIS-F.
Enable Intel Graphics Driver:
BIS-F will trigger the right command on the Base Image only as follows:
You can install the Intel graphics drivers before installing the VDA. The following step is required if you install Intel drivers after you install a VDA with HDX 3D Pro. The step is also required if the Intel driver has been updated.
To enable the Intel drivers required for multi-monitor support, run the following command using the IntelVirtualDisplayTool.exe, then restart the VDA: IntelVirtualDisplayTool.exe -vd enable
IntelVirtualDisplayTool.exe is included with the VDA installer. The IntelVirtualDisplayTool.exe is located in C:\Program Files\Citrix\ICAServices.
Note: If you disable the checkbox, the Intel Graphics Driver is not disabled from BIS-F.
If you enable both NVIDIA and INTEL, BIS-F will stop the sealing process (preparation phase) and respond with an error!.
